Empower Small-Scale Farmers with AI
Develop AI-driven solutions to improve farming efficiency, productivity, and sustainability, particularly for smallholder farmers in Serbia. These tools will optimize resource usage, minimize waste, and increase crop yields through data-informed decisions
Foster Economic Resilience and Sustainability
Address the economic inequalities faced by rural Serbian farmers by improving their productivity and access to modern farming practices. This project aims to reduce rural poverty through smarter, data-driven farming techniques that enhance both profitability and sustainability.
Establish a Scalable and Adaptable Model
Create a sustainable, scalable model for AI application in agriculture that can be replicated in other developing regions facing similar challenges. The focus will be on technologies that are adaptable to local conditions and inclusive of the socio-economic context.
Promote Knowledge Transfer and Capacity Building
Through workshops and collaborative efforts with local universities and experts, facilitate the exchange of knowledge between international and local stakeholders, ensuring farmers gain access to essential skills for adopting AI and data-driven technologies.
Enhance Disease Prediction and Management
Use predictive analytics to forecast agricultural risks such as pest outbreaks and diseases, enabling farmers to take proactive actions. This includes focusing on managing threats like African Swine Fever, which has had devastating impacts on livestock in Serbia
